St. Gregory the Great Academy offers an After School Program (ASP) available to all families enrolled in the school for an hourly rate from 2:30 – 6:00 pm. The ASP provides a safe, caring environment for St. Gregory the Great students in grades Preschool through 8th Grade whose parents have registered them for the program and scheduled their attendance. Participants enjoy outdoor play (weather permitting), games, storytelling, arts and crafts and more. Several special events are held throughout the year.
After School Program (ASP) News 2012-2013 School Year
We are very excited about starting another year of operation and would like to thank all of the ASP families for their participation and support. The ASP provides a safe, caring environment for St. Gregory the Great Academy students in Grades Pre-3 through 8 whose parents have registered them for the program and scheduled their attendance. Participants enjoy outdoor play (weather permitting), games, storytelling, arts and crafts and more. The cost of ASP for the 2012-2013 school year will be $5.50 per hour for the first child in the family and $4.50 per hour, per child, for all additional children in the family.
The ASP operates after school until 6:00 pm every scheduled school day except the following: 1) last school day before Thanksgiving break, 2) a staff development/evaluation day, 3) last school day before Christmas vacation, 4) last school day before Easter vacation and 5) last school day of the year. Please note: the Preschoolers’ , Kindergarteners’ and eighth graders’ last day in ASP is the day before their graduation. ASP does NOT operate if the school experiences an early or emergency closing due to snow or other emergency.
Please note that both the program charge of $5.50 per hour per child and a processing fee of $25.00 per child must be paid if an unregistered student is placed in the program, whether by the principal or at the parents’ emergency request (via a phone call or note to the Main Office that the child/ren cannot be picked up by 2:30pm). For registered children, a $25.00 fee will be charged for late scheduling or cancellations. In addition, a $25.00 fee will be assessed for any ASP payments received after the date specified on the ASP bill and calendar. Please return your calendars and payments promptly by the date indicated on the monthly ASP calendars to avoid the assessment of late fees and potential forfeiture of your child/ren’s space in the program. Prompt calendar returns and prompt payments are both essential to the smooth operation of the program as a whole.
We are currently accepting ASP registrations, therefore, if you need to register your children in the program please complete a registration form as soon as possible (no later than September 4, 2012) and submit it to school with the $40.00 registration fee.
